Systems Administrator

CSE requires the professional services of one (1) System Administrator I.9 (Cloud
Specialist) at a level 3 to operate in the role of system integrator to support the implementation, transformation and maturity of the private cloud service. The Contractor will work in conjunction with the CSE operations teams in their respective specialties to implement and manage the private cloud services.
A private cloud is a on-premise hosted cloud computing environment that is dedicated exclusively to CSE. It provides the same benefits as a public cloud, such as scalability and flexibility, but is hosted on-premises within the CSE Data centre.
The resource, in addition to the above, will provide advanced technical and problem solving methodologies to deal with complex integration issues with the end solution architecture and product suite introduced and implemented at CSE.
The Contractor must provide senior system integration services to CSE, for project related activities in testing, implementing, developing, engineering, supporting, maintaining and integrating various commercial and open-source software packages, programs and environments that are needed to provide automated systems administration to CSE’s Public & Private Clouds.
The Contractor must perform the integration services as system integrator and must
work to project release schedules. The Contractor must provide technical and business expertise and is responsible for building and managing the operations of the core IaaS/PaaS platforms and for building and maintaining the automated deployment pipeline that enables our cloud team to safely deploy code across our environments.
The Contractor must work within the project team consisting of Project Leads, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Developers and Clients from Information Technology Centres within CSE.

1. Top Secret Security clearance 
2. 60 months experience integrating solutions into the Linux/Unix operating system including
   providing:
   a. system installation,
   b. configuration,
   c. resource monitoring,
   d. user administration,
   e. package management, and
   f. platform engineering adjustments as necessary
3. 36 months' experience within the last 60 months in deploying Cloud Platforms, specifically Openstack, Kubernetes including integrating multiple independent products, open source or commercial into an enterprise solution.
4. experience utilizing any of the following technologies or equivalent:

a. Open Source software
b. Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure,
GCP, Openstack)
c. Configuration Management tools (e.g.:
Puppet, Ansible, Tower/AWX, Salt,
Terraform),
d. Continuous Integration (Ex: Jenkins,
Zephyr, Gerrit),
e. QA testing Tools (e.g.: soapUI, SilkTest,
Tempest, rally)
f. Code Repository (e.g. Git, Bitbucket),
g. HA Clustering - Linux, DB (e.g.
PaceMaker, Galera)
h. Containerisation (e.g.: Docker,
Kubernetes, Container Registries)
i. Agile Project Management software: (e.g.
Atlassian, Confluence

5. Experience packaging and securing applications as containers and working with Kubernetes.
